Garrett Warren has taught Martial Arts and Fight Choreography to such celebrities as Jessica Alba, Jada Pinkett Smith, Casper Van Dien, John Travolta, "The Rock" and Michael Biehn. He is responsible for getting such celebrities as Jaime Pressly, Denise Richards, Kate Hudson, Heather Locklear, Eddie and Valerie Van Halen, and Casper Van Dien into shape as their Personal Trainer. He also holds a 5th Degree Blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do and has won 3 World Martial Arts Championships.
Warren’s Hollywood career began in 1990 when he moved from Boston to Los Angeles to help a friend set up a karate school. It didn’t take long before Hollywood came calling and he was hired as a stunt double for the CBS drama The Raven. When he was named "Stunt Choreographer of the Year" in 2009, Movieline called him a "virtually indestructible one-stuntman-army (he's taken four real bullets and lived to tell the tale)" and the "go-to guy for stunt coordination on 3-D motion capture movies."
For his career, Warren had to overcome some incredible obstacles. Between the ages of 17 to 20 both lungs, at separate times, collapsed a combined three times causing him to have a thoracotomy, lung reconstruction. In 1998, while performing a stunt on a movie set in Utah, he was hit head-on by an eighteen wheeler going 45 mph sending him 60 feet in the air and tearing his knee apart. In early 2000, an assassin, allegedly hired by his ex-wife, came to his home in California and shot him four times, in the chest, neck, leg and in the head, with the last shot resulting in the loss of one of his eyes.
His impressive filmography includes blockbuster hits like Avatar, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie's Angels, Sin City, Mission: Impossible III, Larry Crowne, Colombiana, and all three Transformers movies. He's no stranger to non-CGI danger, either, having just dodged actual explosions and flying Grand Prix cars while serving as Mickey Rourke's Iron Man 2 stunt double.
